Found Pony in Chatsworth: A pony or large mini-horse was found Thursday p.m. in Chatsworth on Andora between Chatsworth and Owensmouth Avenues. It's hard to say, but this pony may have been missing for some time based on appearance. It is black, but otherwise I'll leave the remaining description to whoever thinks it's theirs. Efforts to locate an owner have been unsuccessful. Contact Stoney Point Ranch (818) 341-1773.

Neighborhood Theft Alert: Lise Graber reports that there have been several break-ins and thefts recently in the Lake View Terrace area, probably by an area resident who knows who has fences, dogs, etc. People on Foothill Blvd. have had their garages broken into, and Del Anderson on Foothill Place has had his truck robbed several times in the past few weeks. Items stolen include radios and tools, sometimes taken away in a wheelbarrow. So if you see someone wheeling a wheelbarrow down Foothill, call the police! And be on the lookout for cheap 2-way radios and tools being sold. Someone witnessed two white skinheads, apparently in their 20's, stealing out of a mailbox on Foothill Blvd. Unfortunately the person who saw them was driving a truck and horse trailer, and couldn't make a U-turn to follow the thieves, but the matter was reported to the police.
